A few words on Clem.

From 2016 to 2017, faced with millennial underemployment and personal restlessness, I blogged a bunch and somehow some of it ended up in The Globe and Mail, GQ, and VICE among other places.

In the thesis graveyard and hot take repository you will find previous writing, personal essays, rehashed ideas I’m revisiting from previous work/school/life, and 🌊deep thoughts🌊. A lil’ bit o’ personal, a lil’ bit o’ professional.

Words on here will have been informed by my (previously) being:

  • a binder pushing bureaucrat in Ottawa;

  • a political aide/partisan hack;

  • a desperate freelancer behind on paying the bills;

  • a bike courier, delivering boujie pizzas to condo dwellers in Toronto;

  • an unpaid intern at United Nations Headquarters in New York City;

  • a grad student in public policy at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin;

  • also studying public policy at the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Public Policy;

  • an undergrad student without a clue about how to do academia but really into reading through the syllabi of my history courses at the University of Toronto, St. George;

  • in a band once;

  • a fan of mecha anime.
